Bangladesh Home Textiles Exports Increase 96% in Fiscal Year 2011
Due to the increase in raw material prices in domestic and foreign markets and the economic recovery in Europe and the United States, in the fiscal year 2011 that just ended, Bangladesh's national textile manufacturers’ exports increased substantially, with the value of exports reaching US$ 78876 million, an increase of 96%. An official of the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said that Bangladesh's home textile exports have been growing all the way in the past five years and this year's exports are expected to reach US$1 billion.
