Glass type jade: usually completely transparent, with fluorescence, the interior is very clean, just as pure as glass, fine structure, strong toughness. The crystalline mineral particles are very fine and uniform, and no graininess or greenness can be observed with the naked eye. And the density between the crystals is also very good, and the hardness is also high. There is no substance such as white cotton in the inside, just like a glass block.
Ice type jade: transparent as water, the water head is just like ice, but there is no strong fluorescence, there are a lot of cracks or other impure substances inside, the interior generally has obvious white cotton, and the cotton and structure are clear and distinct. A viscous particulate matter and an orange peel effect on the surface were observed with the naked eye. The combination between the crystals is not as good as the glass type jade, and there are some tiny white gaps, which results in a shorter head and a poorer transmittance.
From the difference between the above two, we can see that the water of the glass type jade is better than the ice type. Therefore, two glass of the same thickness and ice type jade, the former is much more transparent than the latter.
