China's career wear the flag of ten years
China's garment industry started relatively late and lacked widespread recognition. To address this, the China National Garment Association established the "Career Wear Research Center" with the aim of promoting the development of professional attire. The establishment of the "China Garment Association Professional Wear Research Center" on June 29, 2010, marked a significant step in elevating the standards of design, manufacturing, and service within the industry. This initiative aims to support sustainable growth through science and culture, fostering a more competitive and orderly market. The event was attended by key figures from the association, including Jiang Hengjie, Zhang Guangmin, Li Wensheng, and Li Li, as well as industry journalists.

Jiang Hengjie, during a visit to Japan, noted that while China's sportswear industry is rich in talent and technology, there are still gaps in consumer attitudes and market rules. The Career Center was created to bridge these gaps, aiming to transform China from a "big country" in clothing to a true "power" in the global fashion industry.
Inspired by the success of casual wear over the past decade, the center now focuses on professional wear as the next major category. Through collaboration among industry, academia, and research institutions, it seeks to foster innovation and build a strong, unique Chinese professional wear culture.
Currently, many sectors such as military, judicial, and law enforcement uniforms rely on competitive bidding, making production quality and efficiency crucial. Additionally, emerging industries demand more innovative designs, creating a growing market opportunity. However, challenges remain, including outdated styles and limited fabric choices.
To address these issues, the center adopts a collaborative model involving government, enterprises, and research institutions. It aims to bring together experts in design, materials, and technology to develop cutting-edge solutions.
