spring pattern round-up, part 2

Lately, I've noticed quite a few beautiful spring patterns popping up in the Flickr group, and I thought it was high time to showcase some of them. We finally managed to get some photos of S wearing her spring dresses, so I'll share those too. The Hide-and-Seek Dress for S was made using a lovely lilac/orchid-colored linen from Gray Line Linen, paired with one of Anna Maria's fabrics for the yoke. It was such a fun project to work on, especially matching the buttonholes to the fabric. You can see in this picture how each buttonhole corresponds to the color of its moth. ![HideAndSeekFront](src) Matching the buttonholes to the fabric colors really added an extra layer of detail to this dress. The back of the dress turned out equally charming, with its intricate design. Speaking of the Hide-and-Seek Dress, purple seems to be a popular choice! Unbeknownst to me, Kristin was also working on this dress, but she went with a beautiful purple chambray. The Liberty print yoke gives it such a sweet touch. Moving on to another creation, I dug deep into my fabric stash for the Garden Party Dress. This fabric is incredibly light and sheer, with a unique slubby texture. I picked a pale pink as trim because the print is so delicate and sweet, and I wanted to keep the focus on the fabric itself. ![GardenParty](src) This dress is fully underlined, meaning both the outer fabric and a cotton lawn lining were used for each pattern piece. The only part left sheer is the sleeves, though it might not be noticeable in this photo. I think this might just become S's Easter dress—she adores it! I was thrilled to see the smocked version of the Garden Party Dress created by the talented ladies at Frances Suzanne. When I designed this pattern, I imagined they'd want to smock it, and they certainly did an amazing job! ![frances_suzanne_garden_party_dress](src) Speaking of smocking, check out this breathtaking smocked version of the Garden Party Dress. Simply stunning! Then there's Sanae's take on this pattern, which I absolutely love. The colors and scale of her chosen print are just fantastic! ![sanae garden-party-dress](src) Looking through all these variations, it's clear how versatile these patterns are. Moving on to baby clothes, Kristin crafted a Lullaby Layette Jacket for her nephew, giving it a masculine twist with a flannel lining. ![skirt_as_top_lullabye_layette_jacket](src) If you're a fan of these patterns, which version do you like best so far? There’s something truly magical about seeing how different makers interpret the same designs. Let me know if you’ve come across any other inspiring versions of these patterns. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
