Samsung China: Selling washing machine products outside of North America is not affected by recalls

In the afternoon of November 5th, Beijing time yesterday night, Samsung Electronics announced the voluntary recall of about 2.8 million specific types of pulsator washing machines produced since March 2011. This afternoon, Samsung Electronics (China) issued an official statement that the washing machine that was recalled in the United States was not sold in the Chinese market, and the Chinese market was not affected.

It is reported that the laundry barrel involved in the pulsation laundry has the risk of losing balance, which may cause strong vibration, and even lead to the top flap of the washing machine, especially when the consumer uses the high speed option to clean the bedding, waterproof fabric or large items. It caused an explosion.

The recall information from the US Consumer Product Safety Commission's official website shows that the recalled products affected 34 models of pulsator washing machines sold between March 2011 and November 2016. The recall is for pulsator washing machines sold in North America (US and Canada).

After the recall, consumers can choose free home repairs, or refunds for the purchase of Samsung or other brands of washing machines, Samsung also instructed users to use a lower speed washing mode when washing large pieces of clothing.

After contacting the Samsung Electronics (China), the reporter determined that all the types of pulsator washing machines recalled in the North American market were not sold in the Chinese market, and washing machine products sold outside of North America were not affected by this incident.
